Anyone who has been thrust into the complex, challenging world of schizophrenia and serious mental illness can tell you that a crisis is bound to happen.  In fact, because a crisis is a key marker for many people that something is terribly wrong.  But, do we have to run from the crisis?  Or, can we embrace it and normalize the fact that a crisis will happen, but if we can be prepared at some level then we know we can get through it.

In this issue of 30-minute memoir, Jennifer gives some beautiful nuggets on how to think about crisis, HIPAA, and how to get the help you need.  As a therapist and someone who has lived experience she provides a unique perspective on navigating a crisis.

PS — technology decided to be difficult in this month’s recording and I’m often frozen, but you can hear me. Not sure where to place the blame: Zoom, my Wifi, my 18 million open tabs, or the Internet Gods. Regardless, the content from Jennifer is excellent!!
